Thieves have broken into the headquarters of Lainden Racing Pigeon Club, Basildon. They made it away with two petrol generators, and made extensive damage to the corrigated roofing of the building.

Lainden Pigeon Club on moved to their new clubhouse in March, after having to move because English Partnership is building homes and a large business park on their previous site.

In the two months at Basildon the club has; had the locks cut, a graffiti attack, and now this. Vice-President Sid Smith added; "It is not the ideal location, but we'll have to make the best of it."
